The Cherokee County Drug Lab facilitates drug and alcohol testing in coordination with the Cherokee County Court System and the Cherokee County Accountability Courts.

Indigent Defense


The mission of the Cherokee County Indigent Defense Office is to maintain a just, efficient and vigorous Indigent Defense Program which meets the requirements of the Georgia Indigent Defense Act of 2003, the standards promulgated by the GPDSC, and State and Federal law.

Magistrate Court
The Magistrate Court, established by the 1983 Georgia Constitution, is the first tier of Georgia's unified court system.  It is a court of limited jurisdiction and not a court of record.  It utilizes simplified forms and relaxed procedures designed to help expedite cases that don't demand the more onerous rules and procedures required in courts of record.

Probate Court
The mission of the Cherokee County Probate Court is to serve the interests of the citizens of Cherokee County by performing its unique constitutional duties in a manner that is professional, impartial, compassionate, and fiscally responsible.

Solicitor General
The mission of the Office of the Cherokee County Solicitor-General is to fulfill the duties assigned to it by Georgia law in a diligent, fair, just, and efficient manner, while maintaining the highest ethical standards and ensuring that justice is served for Cherokee victims, defendants, and citizens.
