Fingerprinting Process Instructions

ADOPTION FINGERPRINTING FOR THE BLUE RIDGE JUDICIAL CIRCUIT

Updated 2/4/25

Fingerprinting for adoptions is done through a GAPS location.  The instructions for registering are below:

  • An adoption petitioner (or their attorney) registers to be fingerprinted at https://ga.state.identogo.com.

  • Enter 2TGS2F as the service code and click on “Get Started”.

  • Enter GA923378Z for the “Reviewing Agency” and leave the “Requesting Agency” field blank. Click “Continue”.

The next page should say:

Agency – Georgia Court Services/Superior Courts
Reason for Fingerprinting – Adoption Investigation by Court Appointed Agent
Reviewing Agency – GA923378Z – BLUE RIDGE JUDICIAL CIRCUIT
Service Code – 2TGS2F

If it says this, then click on “Start Enrollment”.  If not, you need to click on “Cancel” and start over.

  • Read the Private Act Statement, click on the acknowledgement, then click on “Continue”.

  • Enter your personal information and click on “Review”.

  • Click on “Submit Enrollment”.

  • The next page should be the “Application Approval”. Click on “Return to Homepage”.

Once you get the Application Approval page, you will receive an email that the application has been sent for the Staff Attorney assigned to your case to approve (it may take up to a week for this to happen).  Once it’s been approved, you will receive an email with further information on signing up for a time to get fingerprinted.
